Calcite from Huanggang Mine, Inner Mongolia, China, 20 x 13 x 2.7 cm.

A large and quite unique specimen of light pink Calcite from the Huanggang mine in Inner Mongolia, China. It features a huge group of platy Calcite crystals joined together to create the two-sided formation pictured. The Calcite displays an unusual bi-color Fluorescence (red and purple) under both longwave and shortwave UV light.
