The Fluorite cubes exhibit a lively purplish fluorescence under both longwave and shortwave UV light (not shown); they also exhibit a property called DAYLIGHT FLUORESCENCE, where the crystals exhibit a strong BLUE TINT in the presence of normal daylight – this happens even in the shade as seen in the photo above.
