A very colorful specimen from a find of gemmy Calcite from the Longyan mine in Fujian, China. It features numerous lustrous, bright canary-yellow Calcite rhombohedrons arranged into the nicely balanced composition pictured. The Calcite is strongly fluorescent, exhibiting different reactions to longwave and shortwave UV light (see below), and is also PHOSPHORESCENT under shortwave UV light. In excellent condition, and quite showy for display as shown.
